  1. Los Glaciares National Park - a national park beautifully sits in Santa Cruz Province in Argentina. It occupies an area of 4,459 km˛ that is described with rugged mountains and clear lakes. The park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981. This second largest park in Argentina is covered by vast ice fields holding 47 large glaciers. The famous glaciers found in Los Glaciares National Park are Upsala and Moreno. In here, visitors can view Moreno glacier, another spectacular ice mass from catwalk to platforms.

  2. Lake Titicaca - considered as one of the highest navigable lakes in the world with an elevation of 12, 492 ft or 3,810 meters. The lake borders the countries of Bolivia and Peru. The shaped of Lake Titicaca when viewed from above bears a strong resemblance of a puma. Tourists to Lake Titicaca are welcomed with stunning sceneries and sedate atmosphere. Every year, bulk of travelers frequent Lake Titicaca to see this remarkable wonder.

  3. Sugar Loaf Mountain - standing 1,299 ft tall, Sugar Loaf Mountain nestles above the city of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara Bay in Brazil. It serves as a quaint backdrop to the country’s thriving metropolises. The shaped of the peak is reminiscent of Victorian sugar loaf. Excellent views at the top of the mountain and breathtaking sunsets are few of the beautiful sights await you.

  4. Angel Falls - is the tallest free-falling waterfall in the world cascading 807 meters. You can reach this stunning waterfall at Canaima National Park south of Ciudad Bolivar. Angel Falls or Salto Angel is surrounded with grasslands and dense tropical forest. There are also plethora of flora and fauna found in the area. In addition, you can also spot giant anteaters, armadillos, porcupines and jaguars.

  5. Machu Picchu - a pre-Columbian Inca site found 70 miles northwest of Cusco. This tourist attraction is included in one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It came to existence when Hiram Bingham, an American explorer discovered the place and spread the good news to millions of Peruvians. Machu Picchu is the most amazing and best-known cultural site in South America. Sightseeing apart, you can also do trekking here in the Lost City of the Incas, as there are plenty of good hiking trails.

  6. Corcovado - literally means hunchback in Portuguese language, this granite peak in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil lies in Tijuca Forest. The most popular attraction in Corcovado is the statue of Jesus entitled Cristo Redentor or Christ the Redeemer, which is known worldwide. The statue stands atop its peak measuring 38 meters high. From the peak’s platform, stunning panorama of downtown Rio, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Ipanema beaches are found.

  7. Arequipa-Colca Canyon - an awe-inspiring creation with a depth of over 11,333 ft. Its deepness is twice the depth of Grand Canyon in Arizona which only measure 6,000 ft. Arequipa-Colca Canyon basks around 160 kilometers northwest of Arequipa, one of the most beautiful places in Peru. This canyon of the Colca River is dotted with lovely flora and fauna. On top of that, the massive Andean Condor, which dwells in the canyon, adds attraction in the area.

  8. Galapagos Islands - one of the best-kept gem in Ecuador, Galapagos Islands are an archipelago of volcanic islands that is best known for their wildlife. This scenic wonder is positioned in the Pacific Ocean in which it contains 19 islands flanked with marine reserve dubbed as a unique “living museum and showcase of evolution”. It has been known that the island is the melting pot of marine life. To name some marine species living, there are marine iguana, sea lions, penguins and giant tortoises.

  9. Pucon - is a Chilean city famed across the continent for its lake, volcano and temperate climate. Every year especially summer, hordes of tourists flock in this popular destination. The place allows you to engage in different sports and recreational activities such as snow skiing, kayaking, horseback riding and water rafting. If you want to laze around, spend your day at one of the spectacular beaches located around Lake Villarica. Beaches in Pucon are well developed as it contains bars, restaurants, thermal baths and others.

  10. Museo Regional de Castro - a popular museum housing vast collections relating to the rich history of the region. There are also displays of Hulliche relics, photography, farming equipment, cartography and modern items. Museo Regional de Castro also exhibits the progressive changes of Chiloe towns.

  11. Barrancas de Belgrano - a lush and wonderfully landscaped park designed by Carlos Thays, a famous French-Argentine landscape/park architect. The place is perfect to pass afternoons whilst reminiscing the past. Barrancas de Belgrano nestles in the northern area of the city that covers some hills of Buenos Aires. On top of that, this beautiful park is surrounded with a cool and relaxing atmosphere.

  12. Fort Ceperou - a 17th century fortification built to monitor the entrance of the natural harbor of Cayenne. The high hillside location of the fort offers stunning views. Fort Ceperou was named after an Amerindian Chief who occupied the site before.

  13. Ybcui Park - around 150 km from Asuncion in Paraguari department lies a stunning park called Ybycui National Park. It stretches 5,000 hectares housing picturesque cascades, quaint jungle and awesome hiking trails. The park is very accessible to the city proper thereby giving you a convenient trip.   14. Palacio de Lopez - constructed in 1857, Palacio de Lopez nestles overlooking the banks of Paraguay River. It is the residence and present seat of the government. The structure conceives a Neo-Classic style and displays a monumental structure with a touch of French-Latin lines.
